Ryan was born and raised in Lewes and attended Cape High School. He attended Johnson and Wales where he received a degree in culinary arts. He cut his teeth in groundbreaking restaurants in downtown Rehoboth, where he worked under locally known chefs and restauranteurs including Kevin Reading and Johnathan Spivak.
Ryan started with SoDel Concepts as the Executive Chef at The Clubhouse at Baywood in 2019 and in 2020 was promoted to the Executive Chef at Bluecoast Rehoboth. In 2023, Ryan was promoted to Corporate Chef and currently oversees Fish On in Lewes, Lupo Italian Kitchen in Rehoboth and Northeast Seafood Kitchen in Ocean View.
Ryan lives in Lewes and enjoys spending time outside with his two sons.
