Peg Raley

Peggy Raley is the founder of Nassau Valley Vineyards, Delaware’s first winery and craft beverage producer. After years in the wine industry and living around the world, Peggy returned home to Sussex County to build something rooted in a place her family has called home for more than 300 years.

Today, Nassau Valley produces 14 wines using traditional European grape varieties and has earned hundreds of medals in international competitions. Peggy credits Coastal Delaware’s sandy soils, surrounding waterways and agricultural heritage with creating a unique environment for growing grapes and producing wine. For her, the Culinary Coast is a celebration of those roots, from local farms and agricultural products to the water, beaches and people that make Sussex County unlike anywhere else.
