SEDAST: 29th Annual SouthEastern Delaware Artists Studio Tour (SEDAST), Saturday and Sunday, November 8th and 9th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Locations - See map on website at www.artstudiotour.com. SEDAST is the longest running art studio tour of its kind in the country. Free and self-guided, the free, self-guided tour takes visitors to the working studios of 13 of the area’s most talented artists and artisans working in multiple disciplines, from painting and textiles to glass blowing, ceramics and jewelry making. All are welcome.
Milton Arts Guild Art Walk, Saturday, October 11 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in downtown Milton including Milton Arts Guild's gallery at 107 Federal Street and porches throughout the downtown area. Milton Arts Guild's Art Walk hosts artists on the beaqutiful porches of private homes and businesses throughout downtown Milton for walkers to visit, talk with artists, and purchase their favorite pieces of art. Musicians, plein air artists and other attractions will line the route. It’s a fast trip for Jimmy from frenching girls to having blood on his hands. A highly satirized take on an actual 1936 black and white film, this raucous musical comedy is high comedy at its best from the writer of other great musicals and TV shows like Heathers: The Musical and Desperate Housewives. Native Plant Sale, September 13, 10am-2pm at Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Rehoboth Beach. Visit the event website here. Join us as we celebrate our organization's horticultural heritage and learn more about the benefits of planting native species. The Rehoboth Art League's Native Plant Sale will offer opportunities to purchase native plants grown by our local nursery partners: Bella Terra and the Inland Bays Garden Center. Information tables will be staffed by experts from Delaware’s Master Gardener, Sussex Gardeners, and Master Naturalist Programs. Learn about the benefits of native plants, identifying invasive species, how to test your soil or identify a tree, the benefits of using integrated pest management/IPM practices, lawn replacement ideas, how to create a rain garden, and more.
